Technical competencies required:
• Expertise in site remediation: soil rehabilitation, pollution treatment, and groundwater management.
• Design of urban microclimates: shade structures, cooling landscapes, and water-sensitive urban design (WSUD).
• Experience with adaptive reuse of heritage landscapes, integrating historic materials and forms with contemporary uses.
• Technical capacity to design walkable networks, shaded promenades, cycling lanes, and الأول/الأخير-mile connections.
• Competence in integrating smart mobility hubs into urban open space systems.
• Application of native and adaptive planting strategies suited for Riyadh's desert ecology.
• Design of climate-resilient landscape systems: drought-tolerant irrigation and renewable energy in public realm design.
• Use of GIS and ecological mapping for habitat connectivity, biodiversity net gain, and ecosystem services.
• Proficiency in GIS, BIM, and parametric design tools (Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Civil 3D).
• Capability with visualization platforms (Lumion, Enscape, Twin motion) for heritage–TOD storytelling.
• Experience with data-driven design: urban analytics, pedestrian flow simulations, and mobility modeling.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques for arid landscapes, hardscape durability, and heritage-sensitive detailing.
• Oversight of contract documentation, specifications, and tendering processes.
• Technical review of site implementation, ensuring quality control and sustainability benchmarks.
