We have the following vacancy at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences:

ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR Qualifications? (If you have 1 or 2 or maybe all of the following)

• Bachelors degree in English Language or English Literature
• Higher Degree (M.A, PhD) in English Language
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education specializing in Teaching English as a Foreign Language or an equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate specialist qualification in the TEFL field (e.g. M.A. or equivalent)

Experience?

• AT LEAST 6 years post qualification teaching experience in TEFL
• Teaching experience should cover a range of levels from elementary to advanced
• Some experience of teaching English for Specific Purpose (ESP) - Highly desirable
• Experience of work in the Arab world - Highly desirable
• Some experience of curriculum development in TEFL - Highly desirable

Duties & Responsibilities?

• Preparation of materials for and the teaching and assessment of courses in English Language
• Assist senior staff in the preparation and review of course curricula
• Supervise and / or invigilate mid-semester and end-semester examination
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as directed by the Head of English and to deputize for the Head of English during his/her absence
• Attend departmental meetings and participate fully in all departmental activities
• Prepare and assess all homework, class tests, exercises and examinations
• Keep record of student attendance and maintain high standards of student discipline at all classes
• Maintain proper records of all assessments and to provide such information as it may be requires by the HOD, including the preparation of student progress report
• Assist in the induction of new students and to participate in the student tutor system
