Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for pediatric patients undergoing elective and emergency surgical and diagnostic procedures
  • Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient history, surgical requirements, and perioperative risk assessment
  • Monitor and manage patients throughout the perioperative period, including post-anesthesia recovery
  • Participate in pediatric emergency response and critical care support teams
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows
  • Contribute to departmental teaching, simulation training, and clinical quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with SCFHS regulations, hospital policies, and patient safety standards
  • Engage in clinical research activities and continuous medical education programs
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Completed residency training in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology or equivalent international qualification
  • Minimum 2-5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric anesthesia
  • Eligibility for Consultant classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis management skills
  • Proficiency in English, with Arabic language skills considered an advantage
