PALACES: RED PALACE المسمى الوظيفي: Senior Room Maintenance REPORTING TO: Supervisor / Chief Engineer Room Maintenance Senior The المنصب
Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer, the Room Maintenance Senior performs scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms (RPM), meeting rooms, and public spaces as required, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed according to Palace standards.
Education Required
Must meet all requirements of Room Maintenance Senior.
Associate technical degree in Civil Polishing or similar field, or equivalent experience (minimum 6 years).
Must be locally authorized to work as Room Maintenance Senior.
Qualifications
4-6 years of direct experience in hospitality painting, polishing, civil work, and maintenance.
Entry-level training in BMS building automation systems with ability to utilize control programs for troubleshooting.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
Familiarity with Palace systems and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
Fluency in English; Arabic is preferred.
Local market experience is an asset.
Job Duties Guest Room Preventative Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
Conduct RPM tasks including furniture touch-ups, bed frame assembly, painting, fixture replacement, and grout/caulking repairs.
Ensure all hardware, appliances, and equipment are functional.
Complete RPM processes following the preventive maintenance checklist and standards.
Ensure rooms are clean and all materials removed after work completion.
Perform minor repairs such as tightening fixtures, replacing bulbs, and patching walls.
Guest Relations
Respond to guest service requests professionally and promptly.
Greet guests warmly with eye contact and courtesy.
Ensure guest privacy, safety, and comfort at all times.
Working with Others
Support colleagues and maintain respectful working relationships.
Cooperate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Quality Assurance
Follow all quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
Safety and Security
Follow الشركة safety policies and procedures.
Report accidents or hazards immediately.
Use appropriate PPE and proper lifting techniques.
Follow hazardous material procedures and MSDS guidelines.
Maintain safe handling and storage of tools and equipment.
Follow emergency procedures including evacuations and safety incidents.
Maintenance and Technical Duties
Repair surfaces including concrete, plaster, stonework, blockwork, walls, tiles, and marble.
Perform painting and polishing on walls, ceilings, facades, furniture, and equipment.
Prepare surfaces prior to painting or varnishing.
Apply protective coatings and mix paints to match finishes.
Carry out carpentry and woodwork repairs.
Repair ceiling tiles, plaster boards, and decorative finishes.
Apply wallpaper and perform decorative polishing.
Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned after use.
Maintain safe scaffolding practices and protect surrounding areas during work.
Operational Responsibilities
Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes.
Maintain cleanliness of workshops, plant rooms, and work areas.
Follow BG Repair & Maintenance policies and procedures.
Maintain logs, checklists, and maintenance records accurately.
Assist with predictive maintenance planning and implementation.
Participate in cross-training in HVAC and room maintenance.
General Responsibilities
Report to duty punctually and maintain professional grooming standards.
Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and departments.
Adhere to fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies.
Attend required meetings and training sessions.
Stay updated on new engineering technologies and industry practices.
Relationships
Reports to the Chief Engineer / DOE or their delegates.
Works closely with the Engineering Department and other operational teams.
Interacts with guests, contractors, and other departments when required.
Support cost control and maintenance efficiency initiatives.
Contribute to procurement, store management, and maintenance planning.
Assist in strategies to optimize utilities and operational costs while maintaining asset condition.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
Conduct inspections and address potential hazards.
Follow fire, emergency, and safety procedures.
