Job purpose

As the Business Development Manager you are responsible for driving the companys growth, with a focus on expanding market share, increasing revenue, and staying ahead of industry trends. You will monitor market trends, analyze competitor activity, and implement innovative strategies to accelerate both client acquisition and retention. The BD plays a critical role in reshaping the company to meet buyer needs and support sustained, scalable growth.

Duties - include but are not limited to

Principal Responsibilities:

Growth Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy aimed at expanding the companys market presence and increasing revenue streams.

Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and product development to drive growth, ensuring strategies align with the companys goals and objectives.

Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives across marketing, sales, product, and operations.

Market Analysis and Trend Monitoring:

Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

Stay ahead of industry changes and buyer needs, ensuring the company adapts to emerging trends and remains competitive.

Use data-driven insights to forecast industry shifts and provide strategic recommendations for the companys long-term growth.

Customer Acquisition and Retention:

Develop and oversee strategies to attract new clients while retaining existing ones, focusing on both short-term wins and long-term customer loyalty.

Analyze customer data to identify pain points, growth opportunities, and potential for product/service innovation that meets evolving customer needs.

Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns and solutions that enhance client engagement and satisfaction.

Provide the CEO and executive team with detailed reports and updates on growth initiatives, market insights, and competitor analysis.

Product and Service Development:

Work closely with product development teams to create innovative solutions that meet customer demands and fuel growth.

Utilize market research to identify potential product enhancements or new services that could open additional revenue streams.

Ensure that all product and service offerings are competitive, relevant, and aligned with market needs.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration:

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

Communicate growth objectives and performance to employees across all levels, aligning the organization behind the vision for sustained success.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a growth-focused leadership role, ideally in the marketing and events industry. Proven track record of driving successful growth initiatives and scaling businesses.

Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills

Expertise in market analysis and data-driven decision-making

Exceptional understanding of customer acquisition and retention strategies
