As our Customs Clearance Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing our logistics companys customs clearance operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements. You will oversee a team of customs clearance agents and work closely with other departments within the company to ensure that all necessary documentation is provided for customs clearance. Additionally, you will provide a quarterly operational plan, coordinate between departments, and constantly improve the operational cycle and customer service.
1. Manage and oversee the customs clearance operations for the company, including overseeing a team of customs clearance agents.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and requirements.
3. Develop and implement strategies to streamline customs clearance processes and reduce lead times.
4. Monitor and manage the flow of goods through customs, ensuring that all shipments are cleared on time and without delays.
5. Maintain accurate records of all customs clearance activities, including tracking and reporting on key performance metrics.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with customs officials.
7. Liaise with other departments within the company, including Sales, Finance & Accounts, and HR, to ensure that all necessary documentation is provided for customs clearance.
8. Provide guidance and support to customs clearance agents, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
9. Stay up-to-date with changes to customs regulations and requirements, and implement any necessary changes to processes and procedures.
10.Provide regular reports to senior management on customs clearance operations and performance.
11.Provide a quarterly operational plan.
12.Coordinate between other departments to ensure smooth customs clearance operations.
13.Constantly improve the operational cycle and customer service.
14.Manage operations, customer service, 3PL clearance, and document monitoring.
15.Ensure that all necessary documents, HS codes, and translations are in order prior to applying for clearance.
16.Close files once clearance is completed.
17.Train customs clearance team on processes, procedures, and relevant software and technology.Reporting:
