Job Overview:We are currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Environmental Specialist for a prestigious resort construction project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental considerations are effectively integrated into the projects planning and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices in the construction industry, with a specific focus on the ICT and ELV sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the resort project in line with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) to identify potential environmental risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor environmental performance throughout the project lifecycle by conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are fully integrated into project planning, design, and execution.
• Provide training and guidance to project staff on environmental regulations, policies, and best practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports for environmental compliance, including progress reports, audit findings, and incident documentation related to environmental issues.
• Establish and maintain communication with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders regarding environmental concerns and project updates.
• Manage waste management initiatives, ensuring the proper disposal of hazardous materials and promoting sustainable resource use throughout the construction processes.
• Stay informed on evolving environmental regulations and industry trends, adapting practices to maintain compliance and uphold environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, ideally in large-scale construction projects within the ICT and ELV sectors.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and international environmental standards.
• Certification in Environmental Management (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Management) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting; familiarity with environmental management software is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
