GENERAL ROLE
As Wellness Counselor at Miraval The Red Sea, your main role is providing professional guidance and support to guests on their journey toward emotional, mental, and holistic well‑being. This role integrates therapeutic counseling, mindfulness coaching, and stress management techniques to promote self‑awareness, personal growth, and emotional balance.
The Wellness Counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, offering evidence‑based strategies for stress reduction, emotional resilience, and mental clarity.
The role aligns with Miraval’s philosophy of mindfulness, balance, and transformation while adhering to المملكة العربية السعودية’s hospitality and wellness industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Support & Counseling:
Provide individual and group wellness counseling sessions tailored to guest needs.
Offer guidance on stress management, emotional well‑being, and mindfulness practices.
Utilize evidence‑based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive‑behavioral techniques, mindfulness‑based stress reduction (MBSR), and holistic coaching.
Empower guests with tools for self‑reflection, relaxation, and personal transformation.
Ensure a compassionate, confidential, and culturally sensitive environment for all guests.
Program Development & Facilitation:
Develop and facilitate wellness workshops focused on mindfulness, emotional resilience, and self‑care.
Create customized well‑being programs for guests seeking deeper emotional and mental balance.
Collaborate with other well‑being practitioners to integrate holistic therapies, movement practices, and healing modalities.
Align all counseling services with Miraval’s mindful approach to well‑being.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
Maintain ethical and professional standards in all counseling practices, ensuring compliance with المملكة العربية السعودية’s health and wellness regulations.
Maintain accurate and confidential guest records as per industry guidelines.
Work closely with the well‑being team to ensure seamless integration of counseling services into the resort’s overall offerings.
Assist in training and mentoring other team members in mindfulness and emotional well‑being techniques.
Professional Development & Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest research in mental well‑being, mindfulness, and holistic therapies.
Continuously enhance counseling methodologies and wellness techniques to meet the evolving needs of guests.
Participate in team meetings, wellness retreats, and professional development opportunities within Miraval Resorts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or any Formal Trainings and Certifications in Psychology, Counseling, Holistic Therapy, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in wellness counseling, mindfulness coaching, or holistic mental health support.
Certification in mindfulness‑based therapy, stress reduction techniques, or wellness coaching preferred.
Experience in a luxury wellness resort, retreat center, or integrative health setting is an advantage.
Strong understanding of mindfulness, stress management, emotional intelligence, and personal growth methodologies.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Exceptional communication, empathy, and guest engagement skills.
Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups.
Ability to adapt counseling techniques to meet the needs of individuals with varying levels of emotional well‑being and personal goals.
Empathetic and responsive to guest needs, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining a functional and mindful space for counseling sessions.
Proficiency with digital tools such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets for program management.
Ability to model mindfulness and integrate it into creative practices, facilitating deep emotional and mental growth.
