The American International School - Riyadh is seeking a licensed full-time Elementary School Teacher for the school year. Start date: August 6, 2026.

The Purpose of the AIS R Teacher

To cause thinking, learning and action; to cultivate inquisitive, independent, and resilient learners who inspire positive change in their communities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and a valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent certification)
  • Certification in subject area and/or grade level is required
  • Master's degree in Education or related field preferred
  • A proven record of excellence in prior teaching posts for a minimum of two years (full time, K 12 teaching)
  • Expertise in subject matter
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Terms of Employment and Additional Responsibilities

Salary is assigned from the Faculty salary schedule; contract term is 190 days. Compensation will be determined based on the established Faculty salary schedule.

Contractual hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on Tuesdays).

Faculty are expected to fulfill duties that extend beyond the school day, including commitments to after school activities (ASAs), after school learning (ASL), and coaching (required for Physical Education teachers).

All PE teachers are required to coach at least one sport in AIS R's Athletics program annually.

Learning and Growth

Performance is appraised through the AIS R Professional Growth and Evaluation framework and in accordance with school policy by the designated Supervisor.
