Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial Manager to join our team!

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the projects and ensure that commercial staff attains their maximum potential.

  • Interact with client and address all inquiries related to commercial and contract maximize the profitability of projects.

  • Payment of sub-contractors.

  • Preparation of pre contract cost plans.

  • Cost and budget control

  • Managing a team of quantity surveyors/cost engineers

  • Internal cost comparisons and cost projections

  • Analysis of cost over-run and other implications.

  • Preparation of tender documents

  • Procurement of consultants and Contractors

  • Negotiation and award of contract packages

  • Preparation of cost reports

  • Negotiate final accounts with sub-contractors.

  • Responsibility for all financial contractual issues arising during the course of his contract.

  • Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation to clients.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field and 10 years demonstrable experience in a commercial role .

  • Member of a professional body, is preferred but not essential

  • Demonstrates a knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.

  • Precontract cost planning essential

  • Previous experience gained working with a PQS firm is preferred

  • Experience of preparing tender documents and BOQs

  • Cost planning and cost estimating experience and must.

  • Knowledge of relevant IT packages and applications.

  • Good team player and communicator.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
