MEP Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Works with the Technical Department to perform precise quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and BOQ preparations for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The role ensures accurate measurement, cost optimization, and proper documentation of MEP quantities through close coordination with the technical, design, and procurement teams using AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel tools.

Key Accountability Areas

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for MEP disciplines (HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing, Electrical, ELV) using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop and verify BOQs based on tender, shop, and IFC drawings.
• Review MEP drawings and specifications to ensure quantities align with project scope and standards.
• Update and maintain quantity records reflecting design revisions and variations.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns for MEP works.
• Coordinate with procurement to verify material quantities and assist in supplier/subcontractor comparison sheets.
• Assist in variation order preparation and cost impact assessments.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and civil/architectural teams to ensure coordination of quantities across disciplines.
• Provide technical support during tendering procurement, and construction stages.
• Maintain organized records of BOQs, quantity sheets, and take-off drawings.
• Develop Excel-based tools and templates for MEP cost tracking and material management.
• Prepare periodic reports on quantity progress, variations, and cost trends for management review.

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

• Coordinate well defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

• Comply with policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Surveying & Mapping Sciences
