Lead end-to-end flat steel production in a major industrial operation. Drive rolling, coating, and finishing while optimizing yield, cost, and quality. If you have experience in flat steel manufacturing and strong leadership, apply to support steel production.

المنصب Title: Flat Steel Production Head Role Purpose

The Flat Steel Production Head is responsible for leading and optimizing all flat steel manufacturing operations, including hot and cold rolling, annealing, pickling, coating, and finishing processes. The role supports safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of flat steel products (coils, sheets, and plates) that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

This المنصب provides strategic and operational leadership to cross-functional teams, supporting process improvement, productivity, and sustainable manufacturing performance across the flat steel production value chain.

Reporting Line
  • Reports to: Plant Manager
  • Direct Reports: Production, Process, Maintenance, and Quality teams (Flat Steel)
Key Stakeholders

Internal: Sales, Procurement, Operations, Technical Affairs, Quality, Maintenance, HSE, HR, Finance, Legal

Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Leadership
  • Direct and control flat steel production, including hot rolling, cold rolling, annealing, pickling, galvanizing/coating, and finishing lines.
  • Ensure production plans are executed safely and in alignment with business targets and customer demand.
  • Optimize utilization of raw materials (slabs, coils, consumables) to improve yield and reduce waste.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Support process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce scrap, and improve product consistency and throughput.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce energy consumption, cycle times, and equipment downtime.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and digital/automation projects to improve operational performance.
Quality & Customer Compliance
  • Ensure flat steel products meet specifications for thickness, width, surface finish, coating, and mechanical properties.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to resolve process deviations and customer feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable industry standards and certifications.
Safety, Health & Environment
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and safe operating practices across production lines.
  • Promote safety awareness and risk-reduction initiatives in steel processing operations.
Cost & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the flat steel production budget, including manpower, consumables, maintenance, and utilities.
  • Control operating costs while maintaining production reliability and product quality.
  • Support planning and equipment upgrades for flat steel facilities.
People & Organizational Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary production and technical teams.
  • Establish performance targets and KPIs across the flat steel organization.
  • Support collaboration across departments to meet operational and business goals.
Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline

Professional Certifications
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
  • Project Management (PMP or equivalent)
Experience
  • Experience in flat steel or integrated steel plant operations
  • Experience in rolling mills and downstream processing lines
  • Background in process optimization and production management
Languages
  • English
  • Arabic
