Project Overview
The Ar Rjum Project is a green field gold project comprising three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km south of Al Mouwayh, a small town on the Jeddah Riyadh highway.
Job Summary

Coordinate Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) training and awareness of the project's ES&H program. Work with experts to review course materials and awareness strategies and assist with content delivery processes. Optimize training and communication to help the ES&H program achieve continuous improvement goals for health and safety on the job.
Major Responsibilities
- Support development and coordination of environmental, safety, and health (ESH) processes and actions to enhance ESH program implementation.
- Lead processes for classroom and instructor led courses, hands on training (e.g., hazard school), printed media, and other methods to promote knowledge and awareness of all three ESH disciplines.
- Coordinate the Craft Based Leadership program including training, record keeping, and dissemination of observational information and recommendations from craft professionals.
- Apply the ESH Management System to achieve continual improvement, including maintaining a risk register, legal register, stakeholder matrix, and other system elements.
- Identify ESH stakeholders and tailor training and communication campaigns considering risk assessment, demographics, trades, languages, and other factors.
- Engage an approved third party vendor when necessary for training materials and translation services.
- Perform data management and prepare reports, presentations, EHS performance assessments, and trend analysis.
- Review data from risk assessments, audits, and incidents to identify opportunities to improve training, communication, procedures and processes, and control and mitigation measures.
- Gather, sort and enter reporting data.
- Prepare and submit reports required by project, corporate and legislative authorities.
- Prepare reports required for the analysis and determination of both leading and lagging trends.
- Prepare confidential and sensitive reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of records as needed.
- Act as the project administrator of corporate ESH software programs like IRIS.
- Train ESH team members in use of corporate ESH software programs.
- Identify improvements to reporting processes.
- Maintain reports and records for easy access and archiving purposes.
- Openly communicate with the Project ESH Manager on administrative matters.
- Maintain a working relationship with ESH and other administrative team members.
- Participate in ESH meetings to identify and action administrative requirements.
- Review data for completeness of information.
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to environmental, safety, health, education, or a science related discipline and 2 5 years of relevant experience or 6 9 years of relevant work experience. Certificate issued by a recognised organisation for the skill sets of administration in a workplace.
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Professional skill set to deliver administrative outputs.
- Intermediate level of written and verbal communication.
- Attributes that openly display ESH as a personal value.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, targets and objectives.
- 4 years in an ESH team in the industrial construction or heavy engineering industry.
- 2 years of experience directly supervising an administrative team.
