Job Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains and services tools.
• Ensuring that the required material, spare parts and equipment are provided in a timely manner.
• Maintains adequate stock for repairs and spare parts.
• Maintains proper documentation for tools received, issued, and ordered.
• Daily log and record keeping as per SOPs.
• Keeps stockroom and tool room clean following 5S standards.
• Orders and receives parts and equipment as necessary.
• Assists as necessary with any equipment breakdowns.
• Contributes to production optimization through preventive maintenance.
• Reports immediately to the maintenance manager for appropriate analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinates with the maintenance manager for daily activities and the maintenance plan schedule.
• Attends any breakdown affecting production and carries out troubleshooting and repairs in an effective, resourceful and professional manner.
• Responsible for safekeeping of maintenance hand tools and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance of all molds and related accessories as per the maintenance plan/schedule.
• Follows the production schedule to determine the kind of repair works or PMs that can be performed without impacting overall machine efficiency.
• Supports the changeover team if required.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures at any point in time.
• Inspects and examines equipment (molds and accessories) and immediately reports any defects.
• Maintains molds and accessories to guarantee constant production and calls for support if needed.
• Ensures 5S procedures and activities are followed as per SOPs.

Person Specifications

• 3 years degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 3-5 years knowledge of plastics blow molding or injection molding equipment, molds, and accessories.
• At least 3-5 years of maintenance experience with molds, tools, accessories and mechanical troubleshooting.
• 5 years of responsible experience in the plastic manufacturing industry, in-depth knowledge of the plastic process.
• Able to use welding, lathe, milling, grinding, and drilling machines.

Qualifications / Skills

• Technical training certificate in mold making with skill in troubleshooting mold-related problems, able to read engineering drawings or be a vocational course graduate.
• Ability to learn the usage of maintenance software for data input and parts research.
• Good written and communication skills in English.
• Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
• Professional attitude in dealing with individuals at all levels and in handling confidential information.
