Salary: Teachers Pay scale M1-M6 + Annual Allowance

Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding art and design education to students aged 11-18.
  • Use high quality assessment and feedback strategies to ensure students make progress.
  • Create a positive climate for learning, supporting holistic development and well being.
  • Serve as Form Tutor, supporting students' social, emotional and academic well being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to co curriculum and community events.
  • Fully support the school's mission, vision and motto.
Qualifications
  • UK or UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, B.Ed or similar).
  • Experience of at least 2 years in teaching, preferably in secondary art and design.
  • Detailed knowledge of the English National Curriculum for Art and Design.
  • Experience in curriculum development, assessment and planning for diverse learners.
  • Experience with positive behaviour management and pastoral care.
Skills and Abilities
  • Creative and innovative teaching practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Time management and ability to support and direct teaching assistants.
  • Understanding of Assessment for Learning strategies.
