We are currently seeking a highly experienced professional for one of our clients in the AI Governance, Risk & Compliance sector. This is a strategic opportunity to lead and shape responsible AI frameworks and regulatory compliance programs across high-impact projects in the GCC.
المنصب: AI Governance & Risk Expert
الموقع: GCC (primarily المملكة العربية السعودية & الإمارات العربية المتحدة) – Hybrid
Engagement: Part-time (3–4 days per week) – Long-term / multi-year projects
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, and compliance models
Advise on responsible AI practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Conduct AI risk assessments and support audit and assurance frameworks
Support the development of enterprise-wide AI governance structures
Ensure compliance with international regulations (e.g. EU AI Act) and regional frameworks
Advise on data governance, transparency, accountability, and ethical AI practices
Support clients across public and private sectors on AI governance strategies
Qualifications:
Minimum 15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in AI governance, risk, or compliance at senior or executive level
Proven experience leading AI governance or regulatory compliance programs
Strong knowledge of AI regulations and frameworks (EU AI Act, ISO standards, etc.)
Experience in consulting, risk management, or regulatory advisory roles
Multi-sector experience (public sector, healthcare, technology) is preferred
Experience in Europe or the الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية is required; GCC / Middle East experience is a plus
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
Strong analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills
