Powertrain Process Engineering Manager – Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes for E-Powertrain (Battery and Drive Unit) launch, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Requirements and Operational Readiness:
    • Lead planning and execution of E-Powertrain launch activities, ensuring operational readiness.
    • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define process requirements, timelines, and resources.
    • Ensure readiness of equipment, tools, and materials for smooth launch.
    • Identify, trial, and implement new tools, equipment, and processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Develop and implement training programs for production teams.
  • E‑Powertrain Quality Assurance & Process Quality Control:
    • Integrate quality checks within the process to ensure compliance.
    • Develop quality control plans, checks, and SPC to reduce variability and prevent defects.
    • Implement process controls and automated systems to maintain consistency.
    • Work closely with quality teams to refine specifications and guidelines.
    • Drive continuous improvement using corrective actions from audits, PFMEA, etc.
    • Lead corrective actions and permanent solutions to quality problems.
  • PFMEA and Risk Management:
    • Apply PFMEA to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
    • Continuously improve risk management and process reliability.
  • Launch Operation Preparation:
    • Develop and manage detailed launch project plans, resource planning, and risk management.
    • Coordinate integration of new equipment with engineering, quality, and logistics.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Team and Resource Management:
    • Lead and mentor the launch team, guiding priorities and resource alالموقع.
    • Manage staffing, training, and resource needs with operations managers.
    • Foster a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor KPIs and report productivity, quality performance, and risks to senior management.
    • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms for product performance and budget adherence.
  • Problem Resolution and Continuous Improvement:
    • Tackle challenges during production/launch, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities.
    • Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Engineering.
  • 13+ years of experience in EV manufacturing at reputable OEMs with strong background in PWT EV operations and launch activities.
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills overseeing cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous leadership role overseeing Powertrain EV industry operations.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and lean manufacturing.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply‑chain processes.
  • Flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD, and 3D design (a plus).
  • Fluent in English.
