We are looking for Experienced persons in Mould Shop of Steel Making Plant -CCM section.

Ideal candidates should have minimum 2-3 years hands on experience in Mould jacket preparation,setting and inspection in Steel Making Plants.

  • Responsible for all activities in mould preparation services during routine production and during shut down days.
  • Safety and housekeeping are maintained in the mould preparation area.
  • To prepare and / or service moulds for use on CCM.
  • To maintain spare parts and tools for mould preparation area.

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

  • Checking new mould tubes from stores for any visible defects.
  • Checking mould dimensions using mould measuring device.
  • Checking oilier plates, foot rolls, inner casing gap during servicing of moulds.
  • Extending support services to routine maintenance jobs during turn rounds.
  • Over hauling / Repairing of mould accessories, dismantling / assembling mould jackets and its conversion to suit plant requirements.
  • Overhauling / Repairing of shroud manipulator accessories and spares.
  • Overhauling / Repairing of MNC protection plates and its salvaging.
  • Support for clearing strand and machine preparation in case of strand breakout and metal jam cutting in apron chamber.
  • Spray riser metal jam cutting and keep ready as a spare.
  • Support in all mould workshop related activities, gas cutting and welding and all other activities in CCM.
  • Support CCM crews during shutdown / breakdown and/or annual shutdown for mould, apron chamber, spray risers, apron rollers support bracket alignment and other CCM related job.
  • Housekeeping and orderliness around mould preparation area.
