Lead Specialist

Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Specialist to join our team!

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

What Youll Be Doing:

Independently performs a wide variety of conventional and moderately complex fit-outs for hotel architectural assignments by applying architectural design standards, practices, and techniques. The incumbent at this level regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs, is proficient in standard architectural techniques and is thoroughly familiar with company procedures.

Performs a variety of assignments, such as:

• Conducting architectural fit-out reviews and supervision
• Developing design concepts and design criteria
• Preparing related reports.
• Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, and construction documents prepared by Architectural Designers.
• Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Interfaces with suppliers as required.
• Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at the project site.
• Reviews, approves, and issues fit-out detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provides the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
• Provides technical guidance to architectural/engineering workers on the same project.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (or related field)
• 5+ years related hotel fit-out architecture/engineering experience or a broad general engineering background
• Licenses and Certifications
• Professional registration may also be required.

Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.
