Senior Project Engineer

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitoring progress to maintain those schedules and budgets.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements.

• Interfaces with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors. Assists in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability.

• Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project, as well as the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.

• Assists the assigned Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. Helps determine the technical skills and staff hours required.

• Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager. Understands the clients business goals in order to enhance the project work.

• Prepares technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the client and project management.

• Acts as Project Managers deputy for certain activities, such as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc.

• Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.

• Reviews and approves change orders. Notifies project management and other affected personnel of all changes.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Review and approve Design drawings, Technical reports, Shop drawings and respond to RFIs

• Prepare and present technical reports as needed

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Civil Engineer degree qualified

• Experienced in using PMIS and EDMS systems

• Experience in reviewing project programmes

• Experience in Infrastructure/building projects, preferably from a Contracting background

What Desired Skills Youll Bring:

• Training done on use of Primavera,
