We are seeking for a Senior Linux Engineer. Below is the role description and responsibilities expected.

Responsibilities:

•Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, ensuring they are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

•Develop and manage automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible to streamline server provisioning, patch management, and configuration.

•Utilize Red Hat Satellite for centralized management, patching, and monitoring of Linux systems. Handle patch management and conduct vulnerability assessments to ensure security compliance.

•Apply Linux security best practices, perform system hardening, and conduct auditing to ensure the integrity and safety of infrastructure.

•Troubleshoot Linux-related issues in real-time to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system operation.

•Work closely with application and cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain secure, efficient, and high-performing systems.

•Document operational procedures, workflows, and best practices for system administration, automation, and security measures.

•Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills of IT staff and ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest Linux practices.

•Maintain and continuously optimize Linux systems to ensure the smooth operation of infrastructure and minimize system downtime.

Qualifications:

•10+ years of experience in Linux system administration, with a strong focus on Red Hat Linux.

•Preferred certifications include RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator), RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer).

•Proficiency in using Ansible for automation, along with experience writing shell scripts and managing configuration management tools.

•Strong understanding of Linux security best practices, including system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.

•Extensive experience in monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Linux systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

•Experience with Red Hat Satellite for centralized management, as well as experience with various tools for system monitoring and diagnostics.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies is a plus.

•Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
