Job Summary: The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment, and minimizing occupational hazards across the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, particularly in projects belonging to the Ministry of Transport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect the workplace to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of safe work practices to minimize risks.
• Training and Education: Organize and deliver training programs for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with internal safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements, especially for projects under the Ministry of Transport.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for potential emergencies.
• Collaborate with Management: Work closely with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Stay Informed: Keep up to date with the latest safety laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Certification in Occupational Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety.
• Willingness to travel to various sites located in Hail, Qassim, Al Jouf, and the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
• Previous experience with projects related to the Ministry of Transport is a plus.
• Preference for Saudi nationals or any Arab national.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Working Conditions:

• May require outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Possible exposure to hazardous materials and environments.
