Quality Assurance Officer

Job Summary:

The QA Officer is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that all production activities and materials meet the companys quality standards and comply with applicable specifications. This role supports quality system documentation, inspection activities, and compliance initiatives across the wood and steel production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality policies and customer requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection checklists, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
• Support root cause analysis and help implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct line checks to ensure processes are followed, measurements are accurate, and defects are minimized.
• Assist in internal audits and preparation for third-party or customer audits.
• Collaborate with the QA Supervisor to improve quality processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Report any quality issues or safety hazards immediately to the QA Supervisor or Manager.
• Ensure inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and used correctly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a wood and steel or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and standards relevant to raw materials and fabrication.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and QMS principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with quality software tools or ERP/QMS systems is a plus.
