Role Overview

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking a Crusher Operator in Riyadh, المملكة العربية السعودية to operate primary and secondary crushing circuits for ore processing. This role involves managing equipment to ensure consistent feed size for downstream heap leaching or milling operations. The Crusher Operator will report directly to the Plant & Heap Leach Superintendent and will play a key role in maintaining plant throughput and equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities

The Crusher Operator is responsible for the following key areas of performance and compliance.

Crushing Circuit Operation

The role operates primary gyratory and secondary cone crushers to achieve target throughput and particle size distribution. This includes adjusting closed-side settings and monitoring power draw to prevent chamber choking.

Safety Protocol Execution

This المنصب applies lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance or clearing activity to ensure personal safety. The operator identifies and mitigates hazards such as moving machinery, high noise levels, and dust exposure.

Equipment Inspection

The role conducts daily visual inspections of crusher liners, mantles, and conveyor belts to detect wear. It involves reporting defective components to maintenance teams to prevent unplanned equipment failures.

  • Proficiency in applying lockout/tagout and permit-to-work safety systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and operational instructions in English.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors in heat and perform manual handling tasks.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical systems including hydraulics and conveyor mechanics.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends as required.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
  • Experience in gold mining operations with heap leach feed preparation.
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation from a recognized training body.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of Saudi environmental regulations for industrial emissions.

  • Crusher availability rate maintained above 95% through proactive reporting.
  • Daily tonnage targets met consistently within specified particle size ranges.

  • Full compliance with housekeeping and dust control standards at all times.
  • Successful completion of all required technical competency assessments.
