In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supervises and directs all Electrical Engineering and design personnel on the assigned project team.
• Monitors all engineering, design, 3D CAD and CAD drafting activities to assure conformance with Client and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice.
• Develop proposals, concept designs, and trade studies for projects.
• Prepare and present technical aspects of projects during internal and external design reviews.
• Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project.
• Provide guidance and advice to all within the project discipline.
• Develop methods and procedures to improve efficiency of the discipline.
• Ensure latest Rules and requirements are understood by all within the discipline.
• Review, Check and Approval of all engineering deliverables produced by the discipline.
• Ensure all design engineering procedures are followed while doing the engineering
• Review and respond to subcontractor design submittals.
• Support project management with schedule, budget, and scope tracking and analysis.
• Assures that every effort is made to meet the project schedule within the budgeted effort hours allotted.
• Makes decisions with regards to manpower, staffing and scheduling of the project Electrical team effort.
• Attend required meetings with clients and directly representing to the clients during project time.
• Develop and maintain effort-hour budget, manpower requirements, and project schedules.

MY PROFILE

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in the hands on design and design supervision of electrical power systems, particularly Low Voltage and MV (400V to 34.5kV) power distribution systems.
• A strong design experience on large industrial, infrastructure and building services projects.
• Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, design calculations, specifications and drawing requirements.
• Experienced in design of power distribution, emergency power systems, grounding, load tabulation and analysis techniques and indoor & outdoor lighting including street lighting design.
• Detailed understanding of a wide range of international industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the Electrical engineering discipline.
• Use of standard computer software applications such as ETAP or equivalents for power system studies
• Basic experience and comprehension of HV (115kV to 230kV) equipment and designs.
• Experienced with BIM / Digital Twin design processes.
• Experience in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as at least two other international locations.
