Analyst

Overview

The Middle East Research team is looking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic, and hardworking Analyst to further its research capabilities, offering and goals. Knight Frank’s research teams are recognized globally for being thought leaders, covering all property sectors, and we wish to further entrench our position in the Middle East with this strategic new role. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a passion for data, but who can go beyond the numbers and succinctly communicate complex data sets and messages in a way that surprises and delights.

Responsibilities

• At ease with complex data sets and their manipulation
• Able to create thought provoking data-driven insights
• Has an understanding and appreciation of Middle East macro-economics and drivers of real estate demand
• An intimate understanding of the key real estate developments taking place across the Kingdom and how they link to Vision 2030
• Keep abreast of key policies/legislation/trends/developments in real estate in the Kingdom, and regionally in order to provide an informed opinion
• Willing to work with fee earning teams to expand Knight Frank’s network of clients in Saudi Arabia and contribute to business development, including being one of the key spokespeople for the business, attending network events, being a mentor to other members of the Middle East Research team and assisting the Head of Research in the development and delivery of our Annual Research Programme.
• Liaise with other internal departments across Knight Frank Middle East to coordinate inputs for regular and thought leadership reports.
• Become a key point of contact for clients as a Saudi Arabia real estate research expert
• Ensure highest quality standards in accordance with local and international standards, with guidance from the Head of Research.
• Build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality and trust with prospective and existing clients, as well as all fee earning teams
• Requirement to provide high quality, user-friendly and easy to digest research insights on a high frequency basis, in addition to ensuring the high-quality delivery of all Saudi Arabia research outputs in both English and Arabic.
• Completing deliverables to tight deadlines means that the ability to get on with colleagues and a flexible attitude towards office hours are as important as technical skills & experience.
• Increasingly demanding clients create a need for continuing development of research services and innovative solutions to client requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role – experience within the Middle East real estate sector is essential.
• The candidate should have an interest in property development and have intimate knowledge of the local real estate markets across the Kingdom
• Excellent communications skills for both written and oral presentations.
• Clear and logical thinker with excellent report writing and presentation skills – we will ask for examples of your best work.
• The ability to create extra research content/nuggets, both data-driven/quantitative and opinion-based/qualitative.
• The ability to understand and adapt to new technologies and software.
• Strong team player with a proven ability to build internal and external relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, in both Arabic and English.
• Software: Microsoft Office programs, Power BI and Macrobond to a proficient level.
• Travel: Flexible attitude towards travelling. A Muslim candidate would be preferred taking into consideration travel to Medina and Makkah.
• Language skills: Bilingual Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
