Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Manager - Commercial to join our team for a large-scale construction project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of delivering commercial excellence on complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, recommending revisions to, and, approving all required contractual documentation

  • Reviewing contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance with prescribed procurement requirements and conducts fee negotiations

  • Drafting and revising policies, procedures, and operating guidelines as necessary

  • Develop, implement, and manage systems and procedures for the monitoring of contracts to ensure that contractual compliance issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

  • Lead the continuous improvement of commercial processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems, and procedures.

  • Formulating recommendations to remedy failure to meet contractual obligations

  • Overseeing financial budget to ensure the cost-effectiveness and value for money of contracts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles in the construction industry, with minimum 5yrs+ experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).

  • Proven track record of delivering commercial excellence on large-scale construction projects, with particular emphasis on PMO/PMC large projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management principles, with experience in negotiating and managing complex contracts and agreements.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, cost estimation, and budget management, with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
