4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1) Stakeholder Engagement:
a. Conduct social baseline and impact assessment studies.
b. Identify, analyses and map stakeholders.
c. Develop and execute effective engagement plans.
d. Investigate and assess social grievances.
2) Local Content Development:
a. Employment (in collaboration with HR professionals):
i. Develop local skills database.
ii. promote direct and indirect employment opportunities in the hosting communities.
iii. promote direct and indirect skill development opportunities in the hosting communities.
iv. advocate workforce inclusivity of vulnerable groups.
b. Procurement & Contracting (in collaboration with procurement professionals):
i. promote business opportunities in the hosting communities;
ii. conduct engagements and dialog with local enterprises;
iii. influence main contractors’ performance regarding local employment and local procurement;
3) Social Investment:
a. Develop and design social investment initiatives in the hosting communities;
b. Develop relationship with nonprofit and governmental sector;
c. Drive the implementation of the initiatives with all involved parties;
d. Develop and ensure auditable records and evidence;
e. drive initiative coverage with Communication department;
a. Develop and prepare periodic and special reporting including social part under GRI;
b. Develop and ensure auditable records required by the Community Management System;
c. drive all logistical support required;
d. Develop CSR communication material (press releases, stake holders engagements storys);
- e. drive participation in the national and global days and events.
5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal: Periodic review and liaison with community representative focal points at site level and with sustainability professionals within each affiliate organisation. Regular liaison and coordination with other specific departments (such as Corporate Communications, Environment) as set out in internal engagement plan to share information seek support and coordinate joint activities where appropriate.
- External: extensive communication with external stakeholders as set out in the departmental external engagement schedule, and depending on specific activities and issues of importance. In particular, communication may be required with project partners on national level social investment projects, yet to be identified.
6. JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):
- The role will work closely with the Director Sustainability, and have the autonomy to undertake regular meetings and liaison with specified internal stakeholders across the organization.
- Communication with senior management will be via the Director Sustainability, unless otherwise agreed.
- Communication with external stakeholders will be agreed in advance with Director Sustainability, on a case by case basis.
- Additional responsibilities and decision making authorities will be delegated to the role by Director Sustainability at his discretion, and according to specific tasks undertaken.
