JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems’ commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide the Tornado Support Service (TSS) project interface with the Customer in both HQ RSAF and King Abdulaziz Air Base (KAAB) regarding the achievement of the project output to meet Prime Contractor BAE Systems Saudi Arabia operational requirements.

• Direct, conduct and manage all aspects of the TSS Supply Chain services service to ensure that BAE Systems reputation in KSA across the customer base,

• Tasking and Management of on base maintenance shops output to achieve the desired level of performance and satisfy Fleet supply requirement on timely manner

• Responsible for the management of all domestic and international Transportation and Physical Logistics activities

• Direct and lead a multi-disciplinary, multi-function and multi-business unit team based in KSA and UK. Circa 100 personnel

• Deputise as required for the Director Supply Chain

• Develop efficiencies into the TSS supply chain to reduce costs, improve performance and deliver increased margins to the business.

• Provide the prime contractor with a senior Supply Chain point-of-contact to assist in TSS business integration, project performance, communications, and issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

• Responsible for ensuring project compliance with the Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management (LCM) process and maximising customer satisfaction by the delivery of Project Managed products and services to the highest standards.

• Assist in the conduct of formal contractual customer meeting structure on behalf of BAE Systems.

• Assist and lead as required in the implementation of the Supply Chain Management Plan (SCMP) and finalise performance measure targets.

• Implementation of the communications policy within TSS to engage and inform employees, partners, the customer base and Ministry of Defence Saudi Armed Forces Project (MODSAP).

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

• Extensive management experience in a lead role and in a recognised supply chain capability

• Have managed a large and complex support project with a proven record of delivering business, project performance and customer satisfaction.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with customer and vendor relationship competencies.

• Excellent overall project management competencies. Familiarity with the LCM process, but in particular the in-service support phase, recognising the marketing, design, qualification and certification processes.

• Be able to direct and lead large and complex projects with a large and diverse team addressing complex and integrated supply chain issues.

• Able to respond positively under extreme business and customer pressure to deliver consistently and underpin the long term relationship embedded in the Home Market Strategy.
