Executive Development Director, Golf

Job Title: Executive Development Director, Golf.

Position Overview:

As the Executive Development Director, Golf, you will be responsible for the development of a bespoke, signature golf course masterplan in Riyadh, KSA. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development of the golf course and its associated assets including the course, clubhouse, training facilities, ranges, and residential villas.

This role focuses on the conceptualization, planning, and execution of initiatives aimed at optimizing the golf courses appeal and functionality, with a primary emphasis on asset development rather than day-to-day operations. Someone who have developed world class golf courses is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the enhancement and expansion of the golf course and it’s assets, aligning with organizational objectives and market demands.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and differentiation within the golf course segment.
• Lead feasibility studies, market research, and financial analyses to evaluate potential development projects and inform decision-making processes.
• Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of new facilities, amenities, and infrastructure to elevate the golfing experience and drive revenue generation.
• Manage relationships with external partners, including architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine development strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of professionals involved in various aspects of golf course development projects.
• Uphold high standards of quality, sustainability, and environmental stewardship in all development initiatives, fostering a positive reputation for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate Development, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in golf course development, or real estate development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial modeling, and investment analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking ability, with a forward-looking mindset and a knack for identifying opportunities in dynamic market environments.
• Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals and drive results.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, zoning laws, and environmental considerations related to golf course development.
• Passion for golf and a deep understanding of the sports culture, traditions, and customer preferences.
