store Worker

Position Purpose:

Plan, organize, and control stores / stocks in a professional manner ensuring prompt, efficient and quality service to the concerned units including but not limited to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and securing food and non-food items as per the location requirements.

Description:

· Monitor cost and quality to ensure objectives and targets are met.

· Ensure that all procedures, instructions and policies given by the management are clearly understood and implemented and monitored.

· Control stores / stocks in a professional manner in accordance with the contractual specifications and in line with the manager’s instructions.

· Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

· Receive and inspect all incoming supplies by checking the brand, quality and quantity of goods received against the actual order.

· Follow company’s receiving procedures strictly. Reject any unacceptable goods and inform the concerned department.

· Ensure correct storage of goods and maintain stock rotation procedures.

· Ensure that storage areas, facilities and equipment meet the minimum standards and requirements.

· Follow up orders to ensure timely delivery.

· Place items in storage areas in accordance to the established plan and guidelines.

· Store perishable items immediately and all other items as soon as possible.

· Prepare a report of the daily issuance of stocks to concerned units as per requisitions approved by the Location Manager.

· Strictly follow FIFO (First In First Out) method and maintain expiry dates as per the rules and regulations in the contract.

· Take periodic physical inventory of stocks as per stores procedures and guidelines.

· Ensure that recommended / contractual stock levels are maintained at all times.

· Maintain daily stock records of receipts and issuance. Verify entries against actual usage and physical count.

· Prepare and maintain documents, reports, and records as per company’s requirements and procedures.

· Ensure the accuracy of data inputs while using computer software for stores management.

· Advise manager of the slow moving / non-moving items, excess stocks and potential spoilage.

· Ensure that store area, freezers, refrigerators are kept locked and cleaned as per cleaning schedule and standards.

· Observe confidentiality and do not allow any unauthorized person to enter the store area

· Interact positively with the superiors, management, and co-workers and maintain a professional approach.
