Manager - BIM

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced and highly skilled BIM Manager to lead the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies for an Oceanarium construction project. The BIM Manager will play a critical role in implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies to facilitate the design, coordination, and construction phases of the project.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Provide technical Expertise in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans, standards, and workflows tailored to the unique requirements of an Oceanarium.

• Lead and mentor a team of BIM technicians and coordinators, providing guidance and support throughout all phases of the project.

• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate BIM into the project lifecycle, from design and construction to facility management.

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of 3D models, clash detection, and coordination activities to optimize construction sequencing and mitigate risks.

• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings and model reviews to ensure alignment of design intent, constructability, and quality standards.

• Utilize BIM tools and software to analyze complex geometries, spatial relationships, and construction sequences, driving efficiency and innovation.

• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to project team members on BIM software applications, workflows, and methodologies to enhance their proficiency and productivity.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in BIM management, with a focus on large-scale construction projects.

• Proficiency in industry-leading BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations applicable to aquatic facilities and marine environments is an asset.
