Our client is committed to providing exceptional service to their guests, and as part of their finance team, you will contribute to this commitment by effectively managing the credit function and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing of invoices to customers.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
- Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action.
- Negotiate payment plans and arrangements with customers who are facing financial difficulties.
- Work closely with the sales team to review credit terms for new customers and evaluate credit limits for existing customers.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as reservations and front office, to resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.
- Implement and enforce credit policies and procedures.
- Provide regular reports and updates on the status of accounts receivable and credit-related metrics to management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in credit regulations.
- Manage a team of credit analysts or assistants, if applicable.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment techniques and financial analysis.
- Experience with billing systems and credit management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Knowledge of credit regulations and compliance.
- Previous experience managing a team is a plus.
