Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our steel products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of quality assurance processes in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, tests, and findings.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead and participate in internal and external audits.
• Provide training and support to employees on quality control and assurance processes.
• Continuously improve quality processes and systems to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 04 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in using quality measurement tools and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and address issues promptly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes and standards is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Quality Assurance or related fields (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma).
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and statistical process control (SPC).
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and equipment.
• Proficiency in quality software tools and systems.
