Data center power technician

1. (7-10) years’ experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems: including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, Generators, and backup power systems to support servers, networking equipment, and other critical hardware.

2. Conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems to identify and resolve any potential issues as switchgear, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, generators, and power distribution units.

3. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults and failures in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

4. Monitoring power consumption and capacity to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

5. Collaborating with other teams to coordinate power-related activities and ensure seamless operations.

6. Maintaining accurate documentation of power infrastructure, including equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and service records.

7. Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a secure and hazard-free working environment.

8.Ensure that all electrical systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

9. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in power technologies and industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

10.Be on-call to respond to power-related emergencies and take immediate action to restore power in the event of an outage.

Also, he should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, and circuitry with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for collaborating with other teams.
