Degree in Veterinary Medicine with previous experience and/or postdoctoral degree/training in Avian Medicine. Arabic and/or French would be advantageous....

Aviagen is the worlds leading poultry breeding company, developing pedigree lines for the production of broiler chickens and turkeys. It has a number of wholly-owned operations and joint ventures worldwide.

Ideal candidate has the following experience, skills, and attributes:
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine with previous experience and/or postdoctoral degree/training in Avian Medicine
  • Minimum of 2 years practicing veterinary medicine experience with broiler breeder and/or broiler production
  • Fluent in English. Arabic and/or French would be advantageous.
  • Ability to travel extensively (60%) in the TMEA (Turkey, Middle East, and Africa) region, working in the field with Aviagen clients
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, high in self-motivation, team player, proactive problem-solver
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in clinical diagnosis of health problems and developing and communicating appropriate solutions with clients and colleagues.

The following skills are desired but not required:
  • Knowledge of experimental design (field and research facilities) for poultry health technical development, data analysis, and interpretation of analyzed results.
  • Basic statistical analysis

This position will report directly to the Head of Technical Operations TMEA. Ideally, the successful candidate will be located in any country in the region: preferably Turkiye or South Africa.
